Airshow and Fireworks Parking Changes this Year

Airport Parking for 3rd of July Events

Airport Parking for 3rd of July Events

If you are planning to attend the Anderson Airport’s Airshow and Chesterfield’s Fireworks this year, we hope to see everyone here. Parking has changed slightly from years past, according to the Anderson Airport Authority. The old VIP parking lot will no longer be available for spectators to park. Instead, the airport will be setting up picnic tables in the main airport parking lot for you to sit and enjoy dinner with your family.

VIP parking has been moved to the grass area west of the main parking lot. Please note that VIP parking is by PASS ONLY due to the limited amount of parking this year. Most attendees will be directed to either the handicap parking (also located on the grass) or the main general parking lot. We encourage spectators to bring their own chairs so that they can walk to the large grass area south of the main airport parking lot and sit there. This grass area will be a perfect location for a family picnic while you watch the airshow and fireworks overhead.

Additionally, we have added locations on the map designated by Red Cross symbols where the public can seek first aid attention in case of a medical emergency.

After the event is over, in order to quickly and safely facilitate the exit of everyone from the airport, there will be two lanes of traffic. The left lane will be required to turn west towards Anderson, while the right lane will be required to turn east towards Chesterfield. By simply going to Rangeline Road or Water Street, you can turn and head home or wherever you would like to go. Please note that no traffic will be allowed to exit and cross over State Road 32 north on 300E.

We kindly ask for everyone’s cooperation in following the directions of the police officers who will be directing traffic. This will ensure that everyone has a fun and safe night of FREE entertainment.
