Chesterfield Town Council Approves Two New Reserve Police Officers

Chesterfield,IN October 11, 2023 — At the Chesterfield Town Council meeting on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, the Chesterfield Town Council officially approved the hiring of two new Reserve Police Officers. Please join us in welcoming Reserve Officer Kyle Carpenter and Reserve Officer Justin Reitz to our department and community.

Reserve Officer Kyle Carpenter, in particular, had the support of his loving family during the swearing-in ceremony. His wife and two children proudly stood by his side, exemplifying the unwavering support that’s essential for our law enforcement officers as they embark on their mission to protect and serve our community.

What’s most remarkable about the appointment of Reserve Officers Carpenter and Reitz is the rigorous training program that lies ahead. Both officers will undertake nearly 500 hours of training to ensure they are well-prepared to handle the responsibilities that come with the badge. This comprehensive training program will encompass a wide range of skills and knowledge to equip them for solo shifts in our town.

The commitment to our community’s safety and security is unwavering, and the addition of these two dedicated officers reinforces our dedication to making Chesterfield a safer place for all. Their presence will bolster our police force and enhance our ability to serve and protect the citizens of Chesterfield.

As we eagerly await the day when these new Reserve Officers will be ready to serve solo shifts, we express our heartfelt congratulations to Reserve Officer Kyle Carpenter, Reserve Officer Justin Reitz, and their families. We are confident that with their dedication, the future of our town is in safe hands.
