Bullying and How to Deal With It

CPD Bullying is no game graphic

Bullying is a serious issue that can affect children in many ways. Here’s what you can do to help your child deal with bullying:

Recognize the Signs: Look for changes in your child’s behavior, such as becoming withdrawn, anxious, or not wanting to go to school. These could be signs that they are being bullied.

Talk About It: Encourage your child to talk about their day and listen to their concerns. Let them know that it’s okay to tell you if someone is being mean to them.

Teach Confidence: Help your child build self-esteem by encouraging them to do activities they enjoy and praising their efforts. Confident kids are less likely to be targeted by bullies.

Report Bullying: If your child is being bullied, report it to the school or organization where it’s happening. Schools have policies to deal with bullying and can help keep your child safe.

Be Supportive: Let your child know you’re there for them. Encourage them to stick with friends they trust and to avoid the bully as much as possible.

Together, we can make sure our kids feel safe and happy.
