Interpretive Programming Schedule
*PARK INFORMATION*
Mounds State Park will open at 7AM. The gate will remain open until all parking spots are filled. Once all parking spots are occupied, the gate will close.
10 to 3 – Roving Naturalists
Pop-up Programs will occur around the park today. Look for those stationed in the Great Mound Complex, by Circle Mound, at the Bronnenberg Home, and at the Woodland Shelter House. Learn more the park’s history, archaeology, and natural resources.
10 to 4 – Dan Malone – Muncie Astronomy Club
Woodland Shelter: Drop by anytime to learn more about what an eclipse is, watch the sun travel the path, and learn more about other out of this world events.
10 am AND 1 pm– Don’t Lose Sight!
The Great American Eclipse is just days away on April 8. Are you ready? Come to the Woodland Shelter for this 30 minute program on how to keep your eyes safe during this momentous event. A hands on craft will be available for kids.
3:30 – ? Roving Naturalists Exit Programs
A Naturalist might stop by your car as you are waiting to leave the property. As you and your family are preparing to make the trip home, allow us to help you pass the time by introducing you to one of our animal ambassadors, sharing information about our Natural Resources, and providing some additional activities that will help little ones pass the time while you travel.
